My Final Days in the U.S.A

It's been a while since I last wrote a blog and figured since I am 14 days away from leaving the country, I figured it was time to write again. Ohhh? You didn't know I was moving away? Ahhhh, well let me backtrack. If you read my previous blog, I wrote that I had some big news to share but I was going to wait until the time was right. Well...the time is right!

As some of you may know already, I quit my job as a physical education and Health teacher at Gustine High School in May. Why you ask? Because I felt it was time for a change. Time for me to do something completely different and I wanted to embark on something adventurous, spontaneous, yet challenging. So I decided to combine the two things that I absolutely love to do which is to Teach and Travel. Can you guess what my big news is yet?? That's right, I am teaching abroad! I will be spending 6 months teaching English Communication to high school juniors in Rayong, Thailand! I will be leaving California and the United States in exactly two weeks! Not only do I get to teach but I will also be able to travel and see as much as Asia as possible. I couldn't be more excited to venture out and continue fulfilling my travel goals. My first travel goal that I am trying to complete is to see all 7 wonders of the world. I don't technically have to be in Thailand until October 27th but I am too eager to travel and see the world. So I have decided to visit Beijing, China and knock off another wonder of the world. I have currently seen 3 so far and I will be seeing number 4 (The Great Wall of China) in about 17 days! I will be in Beijing for about 6 days before heading to Bangkok, Thailand.

This is going to be a pretty crazy, wild, fun, frustrating, confusing, difficult, and challenging 6 months, but I am ready and up for anything and everything. I wanted to let everyone know my plans and keep everyone up to date with what is going on in my crazy life. I can't wait to share my experience abroad with all of you. I will try to blog at least once a week and keep you all updated on what is going on. I'll be posting pictures and videos to my Instagram, so give it a follow if you haven't already.
